Board-level merger 2Samen and DAK
DAK and 2Samen have one overhead board of directors since January 1st. Under the name Collectief Kinderopvang (Childcare Collective), we can make an even stronger commitment to offering optimal growth and development opportunities to as many children as possible in the Haaglanden and Westland region. It is a response to the increasing inequality of opportunity in the region and the growing shortage in the labour market.
2Samen and DAK are not-for-profit organisations in the region that jointly provide care to more than 11,000 children at 166 locations. The childcare organisations share, among other things, the mission to offer every child, regardless of background and origin, optimal starting opportunities.
With the expertise of both organisations, we are a strong partner for schools, municipalities and other local organisations to offer children optimal development. Examples of this are making qualitative and affordable childcare more accessible, offering more preschool education (voorschoolse educatie, VE) and connecting learning and development programmes between childcare and schools.
