In the Ronald McDonald House in The Hague, parents, brothers and sisters of children admitted to the Juliana Children’s Hospital of the Haga Hospital can stay over. The children and pedagogical staff of 2Samen were given an extensive tour. They looked in the common living room, kitchen, wash room and one of the six hotel rooms. The children turned out to be talented bed testers and were very satisfied with the quality of the room.

“Keeping families close”
Ronald McDonald House is dependent on gifts and donations. Thanks to the support of private individuals and companies, the parental charge for an overnight stay can be kept at € 15, per room. Unsurprisingly, the actual costs run much higher. Yearly, over 6.500 families stay in one of the twelve Ronald McDonald Houses, close to their ill child. With the amount raised by 2Samen, a room is sponsored for four years, helping families stay close together in a time where they need it the most.
