Two childcare centres with education opened

Although the weather on September 27, 2024 could hardly have been wetter, we did not let this festive day fall into the water! Because we are so proud of two festive openings that testify to an increasingly intensive collaboration with education. Alderman Hilbert Bredemeijer opened both child centers of Kinderopvang 2Samen and SCOH.

KC Leyenburg celebrates that childcare and education will continue under the new name as a child center. The beautiful new childcare pavilion where we offer childcare also opened here. The snacks and drinks were provided by students of the Poort practical education.

Alderman Bredemeijer beautifully expressed what we are working so hard for: “It is important to give children in The Hague a good start. Almost 50% of children already start with a disadvantage when they go to school. In places like this, we lay an important foundation for the future with childcare, preschool and education under one roof. I am proud to be here today!”

At the Child Center Wondersteboven in Bezuidenhout the beautiful new building was opened. This child center also fully meets the modern requirements for education and childcare. It is a beautiful place where children and team feel completely at home. Local residents were also cordially invited and celebrated with us. Bredemeijer: “I strive to offer a continuous learning path in The Hague. With these kinds of places you can ensure that children get a good start, find their place and can secure their future.”

Zoë Kwint, director of Childcare 2Samen / Collective Child Development: “It is great that we can offer children a wonderful place to develop. I also really enjoy seeing that Wondersteboven has been so positively received by the local residents, who came together to the opening today.

René Tromp, chairman of the SCOH board of directors: “It is great that we see at both locations that we can offer children a promising future. I get very excited about how enthusiastically employees talk about each other and work together as one team in the child center. These are real practical examples of a successful collaboration in which we as partners pursue the same goal.”
