Kyra, Thijn, Siem, Emma and Loïs are real cooking bosses
BSO 2Wolven from Monster was in the final of the Westlandse Kookbazen. They enthusiastically competed with six other childcare organisations. Kyra, Thijn, Siem, Emma and Loïs (6, 8 and 9 years old) made spring rolls filled with vegetables and fruit. Cutting peppers, avocado, cucumber and mango. Making your own peanut sauce and tasting what is still missing. Cooking noodles. Making rice sheets supple by heating them and then filling and rolling them. All with utmost concentration and precision.
Like real chefs, they then presented their dish to the jury. They expertly answered all questions. That was a bit exciting, but mostly fun. The jury members loved it!
It was an educational and fun morning. Because besides cooking they could also move around at the silent disco, play pool, table football or play outside. Look at them beaming with their medal and certificate!
On to next year. Let's see which of our Westland BSOs wins the preliminary round and participates.
