Director Meinderts of the Children's Book Museum in The Hague reads during Reading Breakfast 2024 to children from Childcare 2Samen

Reading breakfast in the Book Museum
Children enjoy!

This morning was the start of the National Reading Days and what a party it was again! Everywhere at 2Samen, children are read from the book 'Help, a surprise!', about August the fox who really doesn't like surprises. Police officers, writers and even a mayor came to our locations to read. Like every year, we were also present at the Children's Book Museum, where director Aad Meinderts read to the children 2Kabouters. A wonderful start to these Reading Days until February 4, ending with a delicious breakfast.

Take a look at the photos and see who all came to read for our groups. Nice!

  • Children's book author Lizette de Koning read to the children of 2Ruiters.
  • At 2Ballonnen the main character of the story, August the fox, came to read it himself!
  • The children of 2Krekels were visited in the library by none other than Uncle Willem.
  • Councilor Goudswaard read to the children of 2Pinguins!

You take children to another world for a moment. An experience that will hopefully lead to them later enjoying picking up a book or reading an e-book.
