How are you getting used to the KDV?

Getting used to things is nice and important for children and we give them plenty of space to do so. During the adjustment period they get to know the environment and the other children. It is also important that your child builds a relationship of trust with the pedagogical staff during this period. When your child dares to trust them and knows the environment and the other children, he or she will feel safe. To ensure that the feeling of safety and trust is indeed established during this period, we carefully build up the time your child spends with us. We believe close consultation with you is of great importance.

Is your baby going to daycare for the first time? Then the first step is quite exciting for you and your baby. A new environment, different habits than at home, more children, and shared attention. That's why we prepare you for what you can expect with us. You'll have plenty of time to settle in. Read here. how you can prepare your baby at home for a good start at our daycare center or view our brochure.

Your availability during the adjustment period
To ensure that a sense of safety and trust is truly established during this period, we carefully build up the time your child spends with us. Close consultation with you is essential. Your availability during the adjustment period is essential. Please take this into account with your work and/or other commitments so that you can be present with your child for a few hours during the first day(s). How quickly your child adjusts depends on several factors, particularly their age and how comfortable they generally feel with new people. The more information you share with us about your child, the better we can respond to their specific needs.

We schedule orientation days starting from your child's first official placement date. In exceptional circumstances, orientation days can take place earlier, provided there is sufficient space and staff available.
