Contribution to the costs of toddler care
The municipality helps pay
It is important that all children start learning and discovering at an early age. That is why all parents are entitled to a contribution towards the costs of toddler care (the former 'playgroup').
Parents who are not entitled to childcare allowance receive this contribution through the municipality.

Parents who are entitled to childcare allowance (kot) from the government, apply for childcare allowance via toeslagen.nl. You can read more about this here.
Contribution to the costs of toddler care
For parents who are not entitled to childcare allowance, their municipality contributes to the costs (the so-called toddler care allowance or TKP).
Municipality of The Hague
The municipality of The Hague contributes to 320 hours of toddler care per year. This amounts to 8 hours of toddler care (playgroup) per week for 40 weeks per year. For this we need an income statement (formerly IB 60 statement) from you, so that we can determine your income-related contribution. You can download this income statement via My Tax Authorities. You must also make a declaration that you are not entitled to Childcare Allowance. You can do this with the attached application form for the municipality of The Hague. PLEASE NOTE: this arrangement is only for toddlers aged 2,5 to 4 years!
Children with (a risk of) language or developmental delay benefit extra from preschool provision. This group of children is therefore allowed to make additional use of a facility with VE quality (Preschool Education) every year. You can read more about this here.

Municipality of Westland
The municipality of Westland handles this slightly differently. This municipality subsidizes a number of playgroups, including that of 2Samen. These playgroups then offer subsidized places (with or without VE) to parents who are not entitled to childcare allowance. See attached application form for the municipality of Westland.
