The Vruchtenbuurt is a pleasant city district that consists of quiet city streets, small squares and beautiful residential courtyards with the atmosphere of the 30s. There are shops in Appelstraat and Vlierboomstraat, in the heart of the Vruchtenbuurt. The 2Samen childcare center is also located here; such as daycare centers, toddler care and after-school care (BSO).
Daycare centers in The Hague Vruchtenbuurt
There are two daycare centers in the Vruchtenbuurt; 2Vleermuizen en 2Zonnetjes.
2Vleermuizen is a small and attractive location that is connected to the primary school by a connecting door The Elder Tree in the Vlierboomstraat.
2Zonnetjes is located close to the Mient and has unique outdoor spaces hidden on either side of the building. There is also a studio, a spacious kitchen and sometimes we use the gymnasium in the primary school De Vliermeent. Right opposite 2Zonnetjes is the city farm 'De Gagelhoeve', which we often visit with the children.
Toddler care in The Hague Vruchtenbuurt
2Vleermuizen is a small and attractive location with toddler care on the first floor. There is a beautiful natural garden where the children play outside every day. The group is equipped with various play corners, so that every child can explore. The team guides and raises the children together with the parents. The toddlers can easily move on to the adjacent De Vlierboom primary school.
Preschool Education in The Hague Vruchtenbuurt

After-school care 2Vleermuizen has cozy, cool spaces on the first floor of De Vlierboom primary school. The children use the facilities of De Vlierboom, including a large playground with goals and basketball pole. Challenging outdoor toys have been purchased together with the school.
BSO 2Zonnetjes is also located in the Vruchtenbuurt and has a huge, beautiful outdoor area. The nature garden offers every child a challenge. In addition to their own space, the BSO groups also have a studio, large kitchen and chill area.
BSO is on August 26, 2024 2Bees started in the same neighborhood with two BSO groups: one for 4 and 5 year olds and one for children from 6 years old. This location can be found on the grounds of korfball club Achilles. Our offer is therefore mainly aimed at outdoor sports and games activities. There is also a nice indoor area for the children.
Close cooperation in the Vruchtenbuurt district
The BSOs 2Bats, 2Zonnetjes en 2Bees work closely with nearby primary schools The Elder Tree en De Vliermeent. After-school care 2Bees you find out korfball club Achilles, with whom they enjoy working together.
There is also a collaboration with city farm 'De Gagelhoeve', which the children visit very often. And sometimes animals from the Gagelhoeve come to stay.
The toddlers visit the Duinhage nursing home every month. There are also visits to the library in the area and the environmental education center in the Zuiderpark, where nature and discovery boxes are borrowed every season.
