About Road2School Van Swindenstraat daycare center
At both of our Road2School locations in The Hague, every child is welcome. Children with and without special needs play together here, learning from and with each other. We stimulate development at your child's level and pace, with challenging activities and materials. Groups are small, with—in most cases—three childcare professionals. Half-day care is available from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM or from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This makes it a regular daycare center, but with a difference.
At the Van Swindenstraat in the Regentesse quarter you will find an atmospheric daycare center. There is a group for babies and toddlers from 0 to 4 years old expats must register with the local municipality and obtain a toddler group for 2 to 5 year oldsWe offer toddlers Preschool Education (VE) on.
Each group has a pleasant indoor area with its own restrooms. There's plenty of room to explore the fun play areas or move around freely. In the center of the square building is a dedicated indoor play area, with a screened-off area for babies. Toddlers cannot go outside on their own. The sleeping areas are divided by age. Babies up to 1 year old have their beds in the smaller area where they can relax. Children 1 year and older sleep in the larger area.
When the group goes out together, you'll often find the children laughing in the neighborhood discovery garden. They can also go to the playground next to our building. Or they can choose—just five minutes away—the large playground De Verademing. There they can play with sand and other toys. So, plenty of choice!
There is a Kiss & Ride area, so you can easily bring and pick up your child.

At your own level and pace
Your baby, toddler or preschooler will be in a small group with us maximum 12 children With—in most cases—three pedagogical staff members. We encourage your child's development at their appropriate level and pace. We also challenge your child to discover and learn new skills.
We use black and white pictograms to explain the daily structure to your child. We also use supporting gestures and images. Even if your child doesn't yet have a good command of Dutch, this allows us to still talk to each other and understand each other.

We're dedicated to children's motor skills. That's why we encourage plenty of exercise and go outside whenever possible. Once a week, we challenge the children with toddler and preschool gym. This way, your child gradually expands their boundaries and learns new things in a playful way. Gym time takes place in our building, with an after-school care group.
