In 2021, we sent out an (independent) customer survey to all of our customers, to find out what they think of us and our locations. This year, our customers gave us an average score of 8.2. A result we can be proud of, and slightly higher than in 2019. 1584 respondents filled in the survey. This means the results are a reliable indicator of how our services are regarded.

Jumping and playing outside together in the summer holidays!

A brand new childcare centre in The Hague Statenkwartier near Scheveningen has been opened! Together with the Duinoordschool, 2Piraten started afresh with two groups of day nursery/daycare, two playgroups and five groups for out of school care. In this entirely newly decorated location, the children feel perfectly at home.

Despite the special circumstances, we’ve had a great summer. The children at our after school care locations (buitenschoolse opvang, bso) enjoyed fun activities in their own bso space, as well as venturing into nature! Our own activities department KICKS arranged many summer workshops!

It’s cliched by now, but it still remains true: it’s a strange time. At our childcare locations, we have to unfortunately miss most of the children. Colleagues at the locations are taking care of children with key worker parents, but are also working from home. Something they’re not used to at all! Despite everything, we can also see the start of something beautiful. There’s space for all sorts of wonderful initiatives. Because we never forget: we’re stronger together!
