2Samen chooses talent
Every day at 2Samen, we strive to provide children with a good foundation for their future. It's no coincidence that "I see you" is at the heart of our Pedagogical CompassIt's our core attitude and determines how we want to interact with children, parents, our partners, and each other. To truly see each other, you need a positive outlook, one that also sees beyond each other's behavior. That's why at 2Samen, our staff enthusiastically immerse themselves in the world of talent development.
As one of the first childcare organizations, we fully integrate the unique talent approach of Luk Dewulf and Els Pronk into our working methods. Our staff are trained as "talent whisperers" and view children from a talent-focused perspective. We address this in our study days, training sessions for our staff, but also in our daily conversations with children and collaboration in the office. Together, we reflect on talent, behavior, and how to view yourself and others with a positive outlook.
What does talent mean to us?
By making children aware of their unique talents, we contribute to a generation that is more resilient, with a more positive self-image and better future prospects.
Talent makes time fly. What you do clearly energizes you and gives you satisfaction. What gets you into "flow"? Everyone has at least five talents that make their eyes light up and their cheeks blush. You don't necessarily have to be excellent at them. Els and Luk have mapped out these talents. Are you perhaps a "rock" and a "planner," or more of a "silent helper"? What does this mean for your behavior, and how do you recognize it in others? With great enthusiasm, our staff delve into the world of talent development to better see "behind the behavior." And to help children discover their talents and understand the associated pitfalls.
Luk Dewulf is an educator and expert in talent development. He specializes in positive psychology and enhancing well-being. Based on this philosophy, he works as a consultant for education, childcare, and the business community. He is the founder of talent-based thinking in Belgium and the Netherlands. Together with Els Pronk, he has written several books on talent thinking. They identify 39 talents you can possess. This means it's not just something you're good at, but rather something that gets you in the flow. They also develop training programs, such as "Children's Talent Whisperer." At 2Samen, our educational professionals can participate in these training programs.

Talent-oriented work in management
Our management team also completed an intensive, multi-month leadership program. All managers in our organization follow a similar path to strengthen this talent-focused approach in their teams: looking beyond the behavior of children and staff. We will continue until every staff member and child in our daycare recognizes their talents and views others positively.
